Second Guessing this Purchase

I purchased these ovens abut 7 years ago. Loved them at first. Then the cooking started to be uneven, to where I need to replace the heating element. Very expensive part and service repair. I should not have to be making a $500-600 repair in this short amount of time, considering the oven gets used 3-4x's a month. I was going to install these ovens in our new home, but now I am second guessing that and will consider other options.

We were so surprised how fast, even and juicy the turkey was at Thanksgiving in our new oven and the sides turned out perfect too, evenly cooked and beautiful! Dinner was amazing the new oven is a star my favorite I've ever had!

Had ovens from new build in 2015. Cleaned top oven and interior glass shattered. Not covered by warranty. Never had that happen in 40 years of ovens of other brands.

We purchased a new house and upgraded to all Electrolux Appliances in our house. The double oven is easy to use and goes beyond the level of expectation. The design is beautiful and functions remarkably. I highly recommend Electrolux for use in your home.

We installed this oven about 8 years ago, and we haven't had ANY repairs or operational issues at all. I use my oven a lot, probably 5 times a week, and my kids bake too. I find my ovens run a little fast, so adjust temp down a few degrees or watch time closely. The self-cleaning functions works ok too.Have a few complaints, the oven smokes like crazy when I broil or cook meat at high temp, and I do like to start my roasts high, so sometimes we have smoke alarms going off, but nothing is burning. I haven't found a way to turn off the fan, so you can't use tricks to turn off oven and cook with internal residual heat. And third, the area between the glass doors gets really filthy and there isn't any way to clean it. This is actually my biggest complaint. No matter how hard I clean my oven, it always looks dirty because of the mess between the glass. Because of the smoking and cleaning issues, I would probably buy a different oven next time, but Im not rushing out to replace this one. After 8 years, it is still working fine. No issues with cooking quality.

The handle was loose on one of our oven doors. It seemed simple enough, a single Phillips screw holds the handle to the door on each side. I tightened the screw only to find that the entire front of the oven is actually glass with a stainless steel trim ring glued to the front.. I ended up over-tightening the screw and the glass shattered. When I went to order the replacement part, I almost went into cardiac arrest. The front glass ranged anywhere from $336 - $1084 depending on where it was ordered from. Other simple items that are part of the door, such as a piece of stamped sheet metal run almost $100. $100 for a piece of stamped sheet metal? Come on Electrolux. If you are considering buying new appliances, run-don't-walk from Electrolux. Our new home came with all Electrolux Icon appliances. They are the worst-quality and most overpriced appliances on the market. Don't take my word for it, check them out on consumer reports and other reputable review sites.
